Information on Dana Bay
Dana Bay, a small town just outside Mossel Bay, known for its nature loving residents and it’s peacefulness and relaxation.
Dana bay is located about 10 km from Mossel Bay. The area is much less commercially focused and provides a more tranquil experience with nature conservation being the main focus.
The area is more quiet than the residential areas of Mossel Bay and have more natural veld around it. When visiting Dana Bay, you will not only feel more surrounded by nature but might also experience small animal life such as tortoises, small buck, rich bird life and close to the beaches you might even see dolphins and in season, some Southern Right Whales.
Activities in Dana Bay
Activities in Dana Bay consist mainly of spending time on the lovely beaches. During the warm summer months you can relax and enjoy soaking up the sun next to the waves on the beached. The long beaches also make for great romantic strolls during sunrise of sunset.
The oceans is also rich in fish life and fishing from the beaches is a very popular activity.
The famous Oyster Catcher Hiking Trail also passes through Dana Bay. You can also just pick up a section better known as the St Blaize Hiking Trail, a 15km very scenic walk from Dana Bay to Mossel Bay.
